[ Luke smiled softly, absently rubbing her hand. He had a feeling he knew exactly where her mind went, and honestly he couldn't blame her. He couldn't help but feel the same, considering how much his father had bothered her just because she resembled his mother. ]
Between growing up on Tatooine and working with the Rebellion, I learned a long time a go how to let go of those that have passed on. If I didn't, I don't think either of my masters would have attempted to train me in the Force.
[ He peered up at her, another faint smile coming to his face. ]
So... it would be fine if, say... I wanted to kiss you, as long as it was okay with you.
[It's her turn to flush. Faintly purple. But in a cheerful sort of way. Nervous and excited and strangely calm too. A lot of feelings. Possibly more than she's felt since she was a very, very little girl.
Kind of great, really.
She stands up and walks over to his side of the table, kneeling down beside him.]
[ Luke’s expression softened, and he reached for her, gently cupping her face in his hands. The fingers of his real hand stroked her cheek lightly, brushing away some stray hairs in the process, before he finally leaned forward. The kiss was sweet, soft and innocent, as it testing to be sure this really was okay, and she didn’t mind it. ]
[She leans in, a little tentative at first herself.
Ariadne's seen kisses most of her life. And it's always puzzled her how it works. How do two people make sure their noses fit, without accidentally headbutting each other? How do two people know the right way to turn?
Well. The body knows what to do. There's an instinct she doesn't know she has.
And she kisses him back, getting a little less tentative, as she leans in.]
[ Luke hadn’t exactly kissed many people either in his life. Sure, there were a few (and one that definitely did not count and no he would not talk about it), but… it didn’t exactly feel like this. This was just… soft and warm, and… he could feel it in his chest, a love that was just different from love that he had for people and family. ]
[ He was reluctant to pull away when he did, but even still he did not move very far away from her, his nose brushing against hers as he leaned forward, pressing their foreheads together. A faint, content hum escaped from him, his fingers still gently caressing her cheek. ]
Ariadne leans in and kisses him! And again, she realizes that she doesn't even have to think about how their noses fit together. It just works. Like magic.
There's a soft noise in the back of her throat. Her instincts or something equally primal. Something inside of her that just wants to say...mine! And meanwhile, she sets a hand on his chest, her fingertips gently exploring the contours of his muscles.]
[ Luke let out a surprised noise at her leaning in, eyes widening for a moment, before he smiled into the kiss, leaning into it as he let his eyes fall closed. ]
[ His chest felt… odd. There were clear lines of muscle that she could feel through the thick fabric of his clothes, meant to both protect him and hide just how strong he really was. But in addition to the firm muscle, there was something else — puffy lines on his chest that didn’t quite make sense, some soft and some a little harder, akin to callouses. ]
[Her hand continues to explore. As if she's a cartographer, who wants to study the lines of his body. Although she's careful not to stray too far away from his chest, his arms, his shoulders, and finally the back of his neck.
It's only the pesky need to breathe that forces her to break the kisses, touching her forehead to his again.]
[ For a moment, Luke had been tempted to grab her up, settle her on his lap and not let her go until she was done. He resisted the urge, letting it pass and allowing her to explore as she wanted. When she finally pulled away, he reached up, his fingers absently playing with her hair. ]
We’ll figure it out. For now, we should take it slow, see how we work together.
[She considers that a moment. And she has to admit, there's a part of her that immediately wants to find someone to turn to. Someone to give her advice.
You can't do that while keeping a secret.
So she nods.]
All right. People are going to try to talk us out of it but...I won't listen if you don't.
[Her fingers graze his cheek, a smile in the corner of her mouth.]
[ He smiled softly, closing his eyes at her touch. He reached up, gently wrapping pressing his hand against hers and just taking a moment to enjoy the closeness of the moment. ]
[ He really didn’t want to move away, to break the moment, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to stay the night without raising questions. A soft sigh escaped from him, planting another soft, brief kiss on her lips, before leaning back. ]
[ There was a genuinely fond smile on Luke’s face, and he reached around her, pulling her into a tight hug, as if that were enough for her to feel all the affection he had for her. ]

[ He… could get used to this. ]

Her first kiss. And with such an incredible boy!
She can barely contain her happiness. Her body is vibrating with it.]
I’ve never done that before.

Not one like that, no.
[ His thumbs gently brushed against her cheeks, enjoying her closeness, letting his contentment wash over him. ]
…I wanna do it again.

[All she knows are formal courtships, anyway. And that's not something that either of them want.
At least, she doesn't think so. All those formalities and contracts and...other people.
No, no. The last thing they need are other people, especially given the people in their lives.]
Maybe...maybe we can keep it to ourselves, a little bit?

With how open I am with my feelings? All of Trench will know by the end of the week.
[ He shook his head. ]
No; we don’t need to announce it to the world, but… I don’t think we should keep it to ourselves. I feel like that would work against us, in the end.

Soon, then. I hope.
[Hopefully, he has some idea what people like them are supposed to do in this situation.
Other than get trapped in a board game.]This will be...an exciting adventure!
