Imp!Luke and Inquisitor!Cal
Luke didn't need a bodyguard. He was strong enough and confident enough in his own abilities that having someone else around to "protect" him was just deadweight as far as he was concerned. The only thing that was a real threat to him was the Emperor, and the only reason the old man hadn't tried anything against him was because they both knew his father would raze the entire galaxy in revenge. It was because his father was Darth Vader that he felt so confident; he learned everything he knew from him, and what better teacher was out there than his six foot, black suited terror of a father?
Luke didn't need a bodyguard, but he found himself staring at one anyway, because his father insisted.
He folded his arms over his chest as he looked the man up and down. The redhead was a little bit older than him, but not by much if he had to guess, and he was taller than him, but that wasn't something that was difficult. He had the same red-tinged yellow eyes like all the other Dark Siders he had met in his life, and considering it was his father that sent this man, Luke supposed he was one of the Inquisitors. They were supposed to be hunting down the remaining Jedi in the galaxy, not babysitting him, so he could imagine this was more of a punishment for the Inquisitor than it was for him.
Luke finally let out a sigh, unfolding his arms and planted one fist on a hip.
"So? Which number are you?"

In fact he should be considering himself lucky, that instead of being reconditioned or killed that he was simply getting a reassignment. Most in his position don't get that chance, is what Vader made sure that he knew in no uncertain terms, before releasing the vice grip on his throat and dropping him to floor. It was likely only because of his unique... talents and skill as a hunter that he was still here.
At least he took some joy in knowing the kid was as irritated with this as he was, pulled away from the action and forced into babysitting.
"Fourth Brother." He offered the typical salute. "I'm to be your... bodyguard for the time being. I'm here under Lord Vader's orders, to ensure your safety. You will do as I say when I say it, no questions asked." He was sure his tone left his feelings on the matter well, obvious.

"Do what you say?" he echoed, shaking his head. "I think you're forgetting your station, and who you're talking to."
He let his hand drop, his expression still vaguely amused, but there was a darkness in his eyes now, like there was something wholly unkind just under the surface.
"Next time you try something like that, I'll happily remind you that I am my father's son," he warned, before his expression brightened, like he hadn't essentially threatened his life just then. "Otherwise, I'm sure we'll get along just swell, number four."
i need to keep better track of notifs whoops
(He's kind of cute, too - he has eyes, he's bound to notice these things even if all he really can do is notice).
Fourth shook his head.
"That's more intimidating coming from your father, you know." The slightest smirk on the corner of his lips gives him away. "The height and helmet gives him that edge." Yeah, he's calling you a squirt. Like he's not almost the same height, there.
Since I refuse to not include BD-1, a droid, who'd been clinging to his back, jumps down and begins to scan and survey the room and even Luke himself.
"What have I told you about scanning people without permission, hm?"
You left me hanging. :<
At least his droid was cute. He stayed still for the jumpy little guy, shifting to put a hand on his hip only after it was finished scanning him.
"He has about the same manners as his owner," he replied blandly, before he crossed his arms over his chest. "Fortunately for you both, there's not much to do. I have work. In my personal chambers. Alone," he added for emphasis, as if daring the other man to actually try and invade his personal sanctum. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable. Or whatever it is you Numbers do when you're not being creepy and annoying."
Luke waved a dismissive hand at that, going over to the doors that led to his bedroom and snapping them closed.
sowee :c
Or it could just be that they were tired of his many failed marks - Inquisitors were supposed to bring in prey warm, after all.
Whatever.
He waves a flick of his hand. "Knock yourself out. I'll be here..." The door closed and Fourth shook his head. "Nice guy, isn't he? Why don't we see where he keeps the caf around here..."
When and if Luke would return, he'd find him sitting on a sofa with a datapad, working some kind of report, drinking caf out of a mug that had offered less echoes than the other ones.
