[ That he doesn't feel like he's any good at, because it hits too close to home. That he hates because the clients he gets are so petty with some of their problems. But it was a job that pulled in money on a regular basis... when he decided to work it... ]

[Marr is silent for a moment.]

I can sense your feelings for your current job.

[ Luke let out a disgruntled noise, shooting the screen a withering look. Don't call him out like this Marr, that's rude. Still... he was itching for something to do. Even with the promise of eventually going into space, it was going to be awhile before he saw any actual action outside of accidentally blowing things up. Was it wrong to want to be active, when so much of his life was spent on the move? ]

[ Adventure. Excitement. A Jedi craves not these things! ]

[ ...well, good thing he wasn't going to be a Jedi. At least, not like the old Jedi. ]

...what kind of clients are you looking at?

[Someone has to see that Luke doesn't get stuck in bad Jedi emotional habits.]

People who have reason to fear for their safety, or the safety of their families. And businesses who wish added security against criminals and unscrupulous competitors.

[ You mean lack of emotional habits? ]

So... mostly people in Maurita Falls?

[ He's joking! ...mostly. ]

[Yes. Learn to take care of your feelings.

Also he's not dignifying that with a response.]

There is also regularly scheduled training, both one on one and in groups.

[ Luke bit his lip, thinking about it. This was really, really tempting; more tempting than he cared to admit. ]

...I'm working to help build the engine that will hopefully get us to Mars in a reasonable amount of time. If I can still have time to work on that, I'd be interested in working with you.

[Give in to temptation, Luke. Be gainfully employed with a job you don't hate.]

That is an important task.

We will not be overly busy, and I will not be over-scheduling or spreading people too thin.

[In the business he's getting into that is a Bad Idea.]

[ Luke can't help the grin that's creeping up on his face. He likes Marr as a boss already. ]

All right. I'll let you know when I put my notice in at my other job.

[ Which will be tomorrow. As he walks in, deals with the only session he has that day and takes off and never comes back. ]
