But those lives made a choice to serve the Empire. They were part of a system that would have condemned and killed billions, if the Death Stars had remained operational.

[ That's all well and true for the Death Star Luke blew up. But the one Lando destroyed was still under construction. Who was to say half the lives lost weren't independent contractors trying to make a living the only way available? That thought sits heavy on Lando's conscience, but he's not about to burden Luke with the thought. ]

I know. I know. I keep telling myself that. That if I was given the choice to go back there and make things different, I wouldn't. That I would still fire that kill shot. But the thing is, part of me will always be on Yavin with all the people that died that day.
